How do payments work?

We require a 50% non-refundable payment to hold your wedding date on our calendar. The remaining 50% is due no later than 30 days prior to your wedding date.

Do you accept payment plans?

Accepted Answer

Sure thing! We do require the 50% non-refundable initial payment upfront to add your wedding date to our calendar. Your balance must be paid in full 30 days prior to your wedding date. Outside of that, we'd be happy to arrange a payment plan with you. In the past, we've set up monthly payments, or three to four payment installations that occur over time. We're more than willing to work out a unique payment plan with you!

What type of payment do you accept?

We accept several convenient payment options for your booking. Clients may pay using major debit and credit cards, Cash App, PayPal, or a Navy Federal to Navy Federal transfer.

Can I hire you for an engagament sessison and not a wedding?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can! You know I'd love to photograph both, but I'm always up for an engagement session. Portrait sessions start at $550. Please click the link below to complete our inquiry form.

Do you provide customized collections?

Not all weddings are the same-- I get it! For that reason, I can provide a customized wedding collection to fit your needs. Talk to me and I'll make it work!

Do you travel outside of the Hampton Roads Virginia area for weddings?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we absolutely travel for weddings outside of the Hampton Roads area. We love capturing celebrations in new locations. Weddings that require travel will include a custom travel fee to cover lodging and travel expenses.

Travel costs vary depending on the distance and logistics of the event, and a detailed quote will be provided during the booking process. If you are planning a destination wedding or a celebration outside of the area, feel free to reach out so we can discuss the details.

What equipment do you use?

Accepted Answer

We use professional-grade Nikon camera equipment to ensure high-quality images throughout your wedding day. My primary cameras include the Nikon Z7II, Nikon Z6II, and Nikon Z6III, which are known for their exceptional image quality and reliability.

My second photographer also comes fully prepared with two Nikon D750 cameras, ensuring we always have backup coverage and multiple perspectives during your wedding.

Our lens kit includes versatile zoom lenses such as a 24–70mm and a 70–200mm, which allow us to capture everything from wide scenes to close-up moments. We also use prime lenses including a 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm, which are excellent for portraits, low-light situations, and creating beautiful depth and detail in your images.

Using multiple camera bodies and lenses allows us to capture every important moment of your day with flexibility and precision.

Do you use a second photographer on a wedding day?

Yes, depending on which collection you have chosen. For those collections that do not have a second photographer an assistant is usually on site.

Can I hire an additional photographer to shoot our wedding?

Accepted Answer

To ensure consistency, creativity, and the highest quality coverage of your wedding day, the contract you will sign states that Dora Breaux Photography will be the only professional photography team capturing your event.

Depending on the collection you choose, we do offer the option to include additional photographers from our team to provide more coverage and capture multiple perspectives throughout your day.

Of course, your guests are welcome to take photos with their cameras, tablets, or phones, as long as they do not interfere with or step into the space needed for our team to do our job effectively. This helps us ensure we capture the best possible images for you.

How soon after our wedding should we expect our online viewing gallery?

Accepted Answer

Your full online gallery will be delivered within 6–12 weeks after your wedding day. This time allows us to carefully review, select, and professionally edit your images to ensure every photo reflects the quality and storytelling you deserve.

Once your gallery is ready, you will receive a private online link where you can view, download, and share your images with family and friends.

How many photos will we receive?

The number of photos you receive can vary depending on several factors, including the length of coverage, the size of your wedding, and the flow of events throughout the day.

On average, we deliver a minimum of 50 professionally edited images per hour of coverage. Our goal is to provide a beautiful and complete collection of images that thoughtfully tell the story of your wedding day.

Do you provide a wedding album?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each collection included in our Signature Experience comes with a beautifully designed wedding album so you can preserve your favorite moments from your special day in a timeless keepsake.

We also offer a variety of premium print products, including our Classic and Signature Collection albums, as well as wall art options such as canvas prints, acrylic prints, and more to display your images in your home.

You can also add additional albums, such as parent albums, to your collection so your loved ones can have a special keepsake from your wedding day as well.
